How we handle your data

Our privacy-first approach

We believe your data belongs to you. Unlike most websites, we have built Maverick Excelsior with privacy as a core principle, not an afterthought.

This page explains exactly what data we collect, how we store it, and why we need it.

No third-party tracking

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party tracking or advertising service. Your browsing is not shared with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not sell data to anyone.

Our analytics are self-hosted on our own infrastructure. We record which pages are viewed, the page that referred you, how far down you scroll, how long you stay and whether the page was interacted with, against a random session identifier held in your browser. It is never linked to an advertising profile.

Services the site loads

A few parts of the site are served by third parties, which necessarily see your IP address in order to deliver them: Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the anti-spam check on our forms, Google Fonts serves the Inter typeface, and jsDelivr serves the syntax highlighter used on blog posts that contain code. None of them profile you on our behalf. Our documentation, catalog and chat widget run on our own infrastructure.

What we store locally

We use your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember your preferences:

  • Authentication session for staying logged in
  • Your preferred editor settings
  • UI preferences
  • An anonymous analytics session identifier

None of it is a cookie. Your login session, editor settings and interface preferences stay on your device; only the anonymous session identifier is sent with the usage statistics described above.

Authentication

When you create an account or log in, we use secure, industry-standard authentication. Your password is never stored in plain text. Session tokens are stored locally in your browser to keep you logged in.

Your 3D models

Source 3D models (.3dm) you upload are processed to produce your render and are not retained as source files afterwards. Viewer links (.webex) you create are stored on our servers and are only accessible via the short code links you share.

You can delete your viewer links at any time from your dashboard.
