Our mission

At Maverick Excelsior, we're on a mission to democratize professional 3D jewelry visualization. We believe every jewelry business, regardless of size, should have access to the same high-quality visualization tools that were once reserved for luxury brands.

Our story

Maverick Excelsior is developed by RandomControl, a pioneering company in path tracing and physically based light simulation. With over two decades of experience in computer graphics, we've worked with leading jewelry brands to understand their unique visualization needs.

We recognized that while the jewelry industry was rapidly moving online, most businesses struggled with the technical and financial barriers of professional 3D visualization. Traditional solutions required expensive software, specialized hardware, and technical expertise that many businesses couldn't afford. That's why we created Maverick Excelsior: a cloud-based platform that brings desktop-quality rendering to the browser, as easy to use as any web application.

Our leadership

Chema Guerra

CEO & Lead Engineer

Chema Guerra is the Lead Engineer at RandomControl, the company behind Maverick Render and Maverick Excelsior. Passionate about computers since childhood, he earned a degree in Computer Engineering and pursued doctoral studies in Applied Mathematics.

With over 20 years of experience in computer graphics and simulation, he has shaped the company's technical direction and innovation strategy. His expertise in physically-based rendering and GPU programming has been key to achieving the photorealistic quality that sets Maverick Excelsior apart.

Outside of work, he enjoys long-distance running and VR sims.

Víctor Loba

Product Manager & CG Supervisor

Víctor Loba is the Product Manager and Lead CG Artist at RandomControl. He studied Architecture and spent many years working as an archviz artist for leading companies, producing high-end visualizations for architectural projects.

He later transitioned into the animation industry as a Texture & Lighting Artist, refining both his technical and artistic skills. Passionate about photography, lighting, and the worlds of product design and jewelry, he brings these disciplines together to guide the CG team and ensure the platform meets the needs of creative professionals.

Outside of work, he enjoys sprinting and track-and-field training.
